On Tuesday 19 September, the Latin music world celebrated the unveiling of the nominees for the 24th Latin Grammy Awards, which this year take place in Seville. Among the names that stood out on the list of nominees were several artists who have performed at the six festivals organised by the Clipper’s Group throughout 2023.
On 15 August 2023, Arde Bogotá captivated the audience at the closing of the White Summer Festival with their energetic performance presenting their latest album Cowboys de la A3 in Palamós, for which the band from Cartagena has earned two Latin Grammy nominations: Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for Los Perros. In addition, their fans have another date with them, as they are scheduled to play at Razzmatazz as part of the Suite Festival on 3 November, all tickets have been sold out for months.
The renowned Spanish singer and songwriter Pablo Alborán presented his new album La Cuarta Hoja at the Cap Roig Festival on 31 July and on 26 August at Occident Summerfest Cerdanya, for which he has been nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album. He is also nominated for Song of the Year for Amigos with María Becerra, Record of the Year for Carretera y Manta and Pop Song for Contigo with Sebastián Yatra. He delighted the audience at Les Nits de Barcelona and Cap Roig Festival in July 2023 and is also nominated in the Song of the Year category for Ojos Marrones with Lasso.
Natalia Lafourcade, with her captivating voice and unique style, opened the Les Nits de Barcelona auditorium on 9 July 2023 to present De Todas Las Flores. The album has earned her three Latin Grammy nominations: Best Recording of the Year and Best Singer-Songwriter Song for the single De Todas Las Flores and Best Singer-Songwriter Album for the eponymous album De Todas Las Flores.
Manuel Carrasco, presented at Cap Roig Festival his latest album Corazón y Flecha in August 2023, which has been nominated in the category of Best Traditional Album. As well as Vanesa Martín, who starred in the solidarity concert at the Cap Roig Festival in favour of the Associació POTS, who has also been nominated in the same category for her album Placeres y Pecados.
This proves that festivals organised by Grupo Clipper’s in 2023 not only bring high quality entertainment to the public, but also serve as a platform for the artists who are now Latin Grammy nominees. These musicians have proven themselves on stage and are ready to be recognised for their excellence in the Latin music industry.
