Sir Rod Stewart, one of the most recognisable voices in the history of rock and pop, will perform on Thursday 8 July 2027 at CaixaBank Tarraco Arena with The Final Encore, the tour with which he is bidding a definitive farewell to major touring.
His final tour, this time for real
The artist announced his farewell tour of the UK and Europe earlier this week. It will begin on 23 April 2027 at Dublin’s 3Arena and visit venues including The O2 in London, the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam and the Uber Arena in Berlin. In his statement, Stewart himself made it clear that the time has come to say goodbye to life on the road and that, after more than sixty years, The Final Encore will undoubtedly be his last tour. However, the singer has clarified that he is not retiring from music, but that this will be his final rock and roll tour.
Tarragona thus joins a tour that will take Rod Stewart to some of Europe’s largest venues during the spring and summer of 2027, making the 8 July concert a unique opportunity to say farewell in person to one of the great artists of the 20th century.
More than six decades of hits
With more than 250 million records sold worldwide, two inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a knighthood awarded in 2016, Stewart is one of the best-selling artists of all time. In 2024, he released Swing Fever, his 33rd studio album, with Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.
His live career is equally legendary: he concluded a 13-year residency featuring more than 200 concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and his previous tour, One Last Time, ranked among the 20 highest-grossing tours in the world in 2024. In 2025, he also took the coveted Legends Slot on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
Audiences at CaixaBank Tarraco Arena will be able to sing along to anthems such as “Maggie May”, “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”, “Sailing”, “Have I Told You Lately”, “Rhythm of My Heart”, “Hot Legs” and “Forever Young”, accompanied by a large band, backing singers and a spectacular production.
